Its dark at 12:00 and and there is a light in the house which tries to tell us that Will who seeks for help and tries to then finds his parents but fails when he cannot find anyone but his pet dog at his house which scares Will and he gets panicked and starts hyperventilating as he sees a dark figure chasing him.The story then ends with Will getting taken which tries to show the paranoia of being chased frantically. The mise-en-scene helps to show the genre by the clothing worn by Will and his friends during the series.
Later it shows kids playing maybe because there all friends that like to play and shows when one friend goes home and gets taken away by a evil entity of some sorts which shows juxtaposition of the two scenes switching from good and playful to paranoia and fear which also may show how the fear building up for Will.
In the beginning it shows a man running in a lab at 20:00 from a evil thing similar to what killed Will when we see the man running of the guy it builds up fear in scenes and after then switches to kids playing which highly shows juxtaposition and paranoia.
